Three generations on the same farm.
Leiva's Coffee is a family-run roasting company that began on the Leiva family farm in Guatemala in 1950. Seventy-five years and three generations later, we're still rooted in the same place and the same mission.

Our Story
1950
A farm of their own
Ezequiel and Reina Leiva — Geovanni Leiva’s grandparents — purchase Finca La Esperanza. Before this, the family had grown coffee, but never on land they owned.
1978
A steep decline, a hard move
A steep decline in Guatemalan coffee forces Ezequiel and Reina to relocate to the city while still maintaining the farm, keeping only a few coffee plants — sales now mainly cover its upkeep.
1987
The next generation takes over
Ezequiel passes away at 53. Armando Leiva — Geovanni’s father — takes over the farm and keeps it growing, though no new plants are added yet.
1990
Reaching larger markets
Armando keeps growing the farm and buys a vehicle to reach larger markets offering better prices for the coffee.
1997
Geovanni moves to Arkansas
Geovanni Leiva moves to the United States to study at UALR in Little Rock, Arkansas, later transferring to Pulaski Technical College, where he earns a degree in Computer Science.
2008
Leiva's Coffee is born
Leiva's Coffee is formed and registered as a business in Arkansas.
2022
A pandemic, and a pivot
After a difficult 2020–2021, Leiva’s pivots: opening a drive-thru and focusing on partnerships to grow its footprint locally and nationally.
